This wooden iaido sword, or bokuto, is a small katana used for training purposes. This wooden sword is around 55cm in length, with a slightly curved blade. The hilt is wrapped in cloth to provide a better grip. Wooden swords are not sharpened, and therefore can be safely used for training.
Iaido is a Japanese martial art that focuses on the use of the sword. This small wooden katana can be used in iaido training, as it allow students to safely learn the movements and techniques of the art.
